Breast Cancer Now has been chosen by the team I work with at Pure Lubrication as our charity of the year for 2022. It's a fantastic charity that does amazing work, very close to the hearts of friends, family and the people I work with.

I have challenged myself to compete in the Great North Run in September, the largest half marathon in the world.

Having not run since 2018 and with age creeping up on me, the sore knees and hips that I now seem to experience are going to make this challenge far harder than anticipated when I first signed up.  Lack of training isn't going to help either of course.

So, if any of you very kind people would be generous enough to sponsor me, no matter how small an amount it is, I would be hugely grateful.  I'm thinking of all sorts of ways to back out of this so by sponsoring me, you're giving me one more reason not to!!
