Story
As some of you will know, eight years ago we sadly lost Mum after an 11 year battle with breast cancer. I still miss her every day, but am thankful for the care and support she received.
In her memory, I have been inspired to join the Macmillan South Coast Mighty Hike - a full marathon from Brighton to Eastbourne, where we spent many happy holidays visiting family when I was young. I would love it if you could support by sponsoring me with whatever you can afford. I realize that times are tough for many people, but all donations large and small will go to fund Macmillan's incredible support of people with cancer.
You may enjoy or be bored of seeing my walk updates on Instagram and Facebook... but I want to point out that I have never walked this far in one day before, even on flat ground, and having done parts of the route before I can confirm that this is anything but flat! It is going to be a real stretch, but it's a great cause which I have supported for many years.
Here's a message from Macmillan:
At Macmillan, we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are our worries. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us.
And here's some blurb from JustGiving:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
