Cycle Bhopal · 3 February 2008

The Bhopal Medical Appeal funds two clinics giving free treatment to survivors of the 1984 Bhopal Disaster (the World’s worst industrial disaster). It also treats thousands of people who are being slowly poisoned by drinking water contaminated with chemicals never cleared-up from the disaster site.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Still trying to deal with my middle age crisis, this year I am in training for a 10 day cycle ride across India, from Rajasthan to Madhya Pradesh, to raise money to pay a doctors salary for one year at the Sambhavna Clinic in Bhopal.  You can read more about my trip at http://www.simoncyclebhopal.moonfruit.com.  Once again, I ask you to please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Bhopal Medical Appeal will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!   We have reached our target  but we will keep on biking and keep on fundraising until it is all over!   Many many thanks for your support - especially to Rob Smeele and the COFRA Foundation which has agreed to donate the salary of a doctor at the clinic for a further three years!
