This summer, myself and several other medical students will be travelling to rural Sylhet, Bangladesh with Selfless, a charity that aims to improve access to healthcare for all. Your valued donations will go towards the running of these projects. (not for volunteers travel).
Being one of the most densely populated countries in the world, 60% of people in Bangladesh have no access to healthcare. To highlight the disparity, in Bangladesh, the maternal mortality ratio is 20 times higher than in the UK.
Your valued contributions will go towards the running of free health camps and antenatal clinics that will be set up with the support of local doctors to help those most in need.
Regular videos and updates on social media outlets will be posted during the trip using the #ElectiveAid2018, so you can see first hand the impact your contributions are making.
Please donate whatever you can, no matter how big or how small – every donation will genuinely make a difference.
