I am taking part in Walk the World to support the charity Prevent Breast Cancer. Prevent Breast Cancer is the only UK charity funding ground-breaking research solely aimed at preventing breast cancer for future generations.Predict. Prevent. Protect. As the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, were committed to freeing the world from the disease altogether. Unlike many cancer charities, were focused on preventing, rather than curing. Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, we believe we can stop the problem before it starts. 1 in 9 women and 1 in 1,000 men will develop breast cancer in their life, through the funding of vital medical research, our aim is to make 1 in 9, none in 9. Prevent Breast Cancer raised £2 million towards the building of the Nightingale Centre in Manchester. This is where my mum begun her treatment for breast cancer late last year. The support and care she received whilst there was amazing and I’d like to give back by supporting them with this fundraiser. 

My aim is to do a minimum of 70 miles over the two weeks but I hope to do more.
