Sing for Water 2019

run by

Singers and choirs learn music and come together for one big performance! Alongside our annual event in London as part of Totally Thames Festival, regional events will be taking place across the U.K, with money raised supporting our work in Malawi.

Charity Registration No. 288701 (England and Wales) and SC039479 (Scotland)

The Sing for Water (Scotland) Choir, is being organised this year by Ali Burns and Rachel Mackenzie.

We've chosen WaterAid because clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.

You can support us in this event in 4 ways:

1. Make a donation here.

2. Come and join us with your Choir, as an individual singer or as a group of singing friends and be part of our the Sing for Water Choir. Singers learn 6 songs separately and then come together for one big massed choir performance day on Saturday 15th June 2019 and our performances will be outdoors in Edinburgh City Centre – following a 30min sing through in St Giles' Cathedral on the Royal Mile at 11a.m. Wow! For details and to register visit the Sing for Water Choir page.

3. Sponsor/Donate funds to the singer/s you know who are taking part - the singers are fundraising independently to add to the funds raised by our the Sing for Water Choir, on 15th June.

4. Join us on the day as an audience member and/or a "bucket shaker".

With clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, children are born healthier. They get the chance to go to school and grow up to become adults. Women and men get to earn a living. Whole communities start to thrive. It sounds normal and it should be.

To date, Sing for Water events have raised over £1 million for WaterAid projects in Burkina Faso, Malawi, Ghana, India, Timor-Leste, Ethiopia and Rwanda.

Thank you for making clean water a normality for more people.

Sing for Water Scotland Team
PS. All monies donated here go directly to WaterAid (subject to JustGiving terms & conditions) - expenses for the organisation of the event are covered by the singers' registration fee and any surplus from fees is passed on to WaterAid.
