Wood Street Mission is a Manchester children's charity which helps children and families living in poverty in Manchester & Salford. We provide practical help to help meet children’s day-to-day needs and improve their life chances. More than 1 in 3 children in Manchester is living in poverty.

This Christmas, we are raising money for the local Wood Street Mission who provide support for families with children aged 0-14 who struggle to make ends meet.

With this year being tough for most people, those who are more vulnerable have experienced even more hardship, and we want to help support them in the only way we know how.

On Saturday 12th December, come rain or shine we want to run or walk a combined 500km through all our members.

This can be done either from your own address with results sent in virtually to us, or organised from one of our routes from the gym.

We have selected 5k or 10k routes for our members to follow, and all we ask, or encourage you to do, is sponsor your athlete or friend £2 per km achieved.

If we hit our target of 500km, we can generously donate £1000 to this worthy cause.
