Since the pandemic, thousands of Australians have experienced food insecurity. The most heavily impacted age group was “Gen Z” (aged 18-25). As part of the Gen Z generation ourselves, 10 SINSW trainees across industry partners would like to repay the opportunity with a small gesture of fundraising for Foodbank.

Foodbank is a not-for-profit organization operating all over Australia. In 2020, Foodbank provided the equivalent of 87.9 million meals to vulnerable Australians. This year, we want to contribute to relieving hunger for Australians! We have set an ambitious target of raising $2218 – a $1 for each public school in NSW!

By donating one dollar to Foodbank, you provide two meals to a hungry Australian in need. For every dollar more, you give even more hungry Australians the chance to eat a meal at a time when they might have previously gone without. By donating ten dollars you provide enough food that a single person can be fed for over a week. By reaching our goal of $2218, we can ensure that hundreds of starving Australians have the chance to eat and not go hungry.
