Aberdeen KiltWalk

Aberdeen Kiltwalk 2025 · 1 June 2025 ·
Firstly, a massive thanks to everyone who has donated to Clan in support of me doing the Aberdeen Kilt Walk, it’s such a great cause and every donation helps so much.
Secondly, as I continue with my treatment, I have now received a date for my planned surgery and unfortunately this means that I will be unable to take part in the walk on 1st June, however, I plan to be there at the finish line in Duthie Park to cheer on my fantastic Stork colleagues. Whilst I am disappointed that I won’t be able to do the walk with on the day, I am still fully committed to walking the full route and as soon as I am recovered and up to it, I will be completing the walk with a few family & friends and we will document our journey along the way!
Thanks again for all the donations and especially all the messages of support!

On Saturday 1st June I will be taking part in the Aberdeen KiltWalk with some of my fantastic colleagues, walking 18-miles from Banchory to Duthie Park raising money for @Clan Cancer Support.
Some of you will know that this is a cause that is very personal to me, having been diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer in December 2024, I have seen the amazing work Clan do to support not only people diagnosed with cancer but also their families and friends. Clan is there at every stage - from diagnosis, through treatment and even after the all clear - the support and services that they provide are so important.
For me, as I near the end of a 16-week course of chemotherapy and have surgery and radiotherapy in front of me, I know that walking 18-miles is not going to be easy, but I am determined to do my bit to help ensure that Clan can continue to provide vital support to all those impacted by cancer.
