In 2018 I lost my brother Kev under tragic circumstances. Throughout his adult life Kev suffered with mental health issues and received a lot of support over the years from Mind. Throughout the year I will be taking part in different challenges in memory of him and to raise vital funds for all the great work that Mind do to help so many people.

In February, May, August and November I will taking part in runr's Miles for Mind events along with some of my wonderful colleagues from Intercity Technology. Some will be walking, some will be running, all will be doing as many miles as they are able to.

May is also Mind's '100 Miles in May for Mind' event, and so in May, myself, Lisa Batty and Laura Hunt will be upping our miles to 100 miles each to honour that.

As part of Mental Health awareness week in May, we are making one of our walks a 'Darkness into Light' walk where we will set off in in the early hours of the morning and walk into the sunrise at 5am.
