216 miles to Tenby, South Wales.

Raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Action in memory of a good friend Paul Manning.

This is a tribute cycle for Paul Manning, Paul lost his very short battle with pancreatic cancer in February 2018. Paul and his wife Barbara recently moved down to Tenby from Manchester, where he lived and worked his entire life.  We want to honor his memory and help raise awareness for Pancreatic Cancer Action (PAC).  We will spend 3 days, riding 220 miles, 70 miles a day, to help raise funds for (PAC). This cruel disease affects men and women equally, with a survival rate of just 5%, and 26 new cases in the UK every day.

Pancreatic Cancer Action (PCA) focus on improving early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and improving the quality of life for those affected. Currently there are almost 10,ooo people newly diagnosed a year with pancreatic cancer. They are on a mission to stamp out late detection which is the reason survival rate has remained at between 2-5% for nearly 50 years.

Day 1 

We will be leaving The Secret Sip, Royton and travelling south, through Manchester center and down to Sale, Cheshire. We will continue South West towards Tiverton, and then finally onto Oswestry where we will spend our first night.

Day 2

An early start will see us travelling through the picturesque welsh countryside continuing on a South West route. We will be climbing up Gorddwr Bank reaching 1500ft, before descending to our stop for the second night at Newbridge-On-Wye.

day 3

The final day of cycling continues the descent, skirting around the edge of the Brecon Beacons before reaching Camarthen. The last leg takes us up to over looking the south west coast of Wales, before dropping into Tenby center, where we finish our journey at the famous Harbour beach.
