Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We have so much in store for our upcoming 20th Birthday and intend to celebrate this accolade all year long, and why not; you
only turn twenty once. For the twelve months of our twentieth year we will be supporting Farm Safety Foundation. There will be a whole host of fundraising events and opportunities to raise funds for this amazing charity.

It didn’t take us long to decide on supporting this
particular organisation, FSF support the physical and mental wellbeing of the UK’s farmers through national campaigns such as Farm Safety Week, Yellow Wellies-Who Would Fill Your Boots? And Mind Your Head. The Farm Safety Foundation, founded by the NFU in 2014 tackle the stigma around risk-taking, ensuring that the next generation of farmers is resilient and equipped with smart strategies and specific skills to live well and farm well, here at Siromer we couldn’t agree more.

Every donation of £5 will be put into a raffle draw, all
proceeds will go directly to Farm Safety Foundation. The raffle will be drawn at the end of our birthday year and our lucky winner will be awarded a voucher for a whopping £500 to put towards any Siromer product of their choice. All donations are gratefully recieved.

Keep connected as there will be lots of mad capped and fun
events planned, all with the same focus of raising money for such a fantastic
charity because #MyMindMatters

About the charity

Rising concern over the continuing high level of fatal and life-changing injury accidents on farms prompted NFU Mutual to set up a charitable foundation to help all farmers, and especially young farmers, work more safely. The Foundation works closely with farmers, the farming unions and a range of farming organisations, including the Farm Safety Partnerships of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, to help reduce the toll of fatal and serious injury accidents which, regrettably, have made farming the most dangerous occupation in the UK. The Foundation's 'Yellow Wellies' campaign specifically targets young farmers aged 16 to 40 years of age.
