Story
We want to say a huge thank you to St David's Hospice for their amazing work, and also raise some money to help them continue to do what they do.
The hospice is incredible, and the care and support they gave to Sue, our Step-mother, and her family was absolutely outstanding.
It costs £3 million to run each year and only 14% of this comes from Government funding. The rest relies on fundraising!
So we kindly ask for donations to support our trek up Snowdon and more importantly to help St David's Hospice carry on working so hard to provide families with care and support when they need it the most.
Thank you.
Every year St David's Hospice provides specialist palliative care services to over 1000 people. The list below is from their website and shows just some of the things that donations could pay for:
£5 would pay for a patient’s meals for a day
£5 would pay for a medical dressing – an essential item for patient care
£10 would pay for arts & crafts material for our Day Care patients to enjoy
£25 would provide a specialist bereavement support session
£25 would provide a complementary therapy session for a patient or carer, which could include aromatherapy massage and reflexology.
£30 would pay for a morning or afternoon’s care from our support worker
£50 would pay for a selection of aromatherapy oils so patients can enjoy a relaxing therapy at the Hospice
£75 would maintain one pressure relieving bed mattress for one year.
