6:10 Challenge · 9 July 2015

Llanberis MRT is one of the busiest in the UK with an annual callout rate of over 220 incidents. Based in and around the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) area the team is made up of about 50 volunteers who are all experienced mountaineers. As a registered charity we rely entirely on your donations.

Story

Why Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team?

We chose the Llanberis MRT as we have an interest and we want to help.

We are both keen climbers and love the mountains of Snowdonia, particularly the Llanberis pass. The team covers the area and provides a safety net for anyone who gets into trouble, whilst all being volunteers. The MRT struggles for funding, despite being the busiest team in the UK. It relies on donations to continue to support emergency services on the world’s busiest mountain. Not just fuel, but vehicle repairs and medical equipment cause a constant drain on resources. Please support.

If you want any more info on why, please do not hesitate to contact us .

All money goes to the charities! None to us to help fund it. (This means we can gain extra for the charity via gift aid). All expenses are coming out of our own pockets, petrol, accommodation, ferries, flights etc.

Thanks and please spread the word in any way you can.
