During the COVID-19 outbreak, St John is actively supporting ambulance services, hospitals and communities to protect life and health through this worrying and uncertain period.

Story

During the current Covid-19 outbreak, St John volunteers and supplies are supporting the NHS across the country. The work they do is incredible, however it does come at a cost. St John Ambulance is currently spending £1.5 million each week to provide lifesaving services. This is particularly challenging as the charity has lost its main source of income – first aid event cover. All these events have been cancelled, so we are totally reliant on donations from people like you.

Our CEO has tasked volunteers who are currently not working to raise £100 each to support the organisation that has given us so much over the years. St John has done so much for me, so now it’s my turn to do the same for the organisation.

Many of you who know me well know how much of a personal challenge this is to me as I have a genetic condition affecting many aspects of my life. Joint pain, dislocations and overwhelming fatigue are sure to be part of my 800 mile-long journey, but I know I will make it. So I am asking as many of you as possible to sponsor me on my JustGiving page to support St John Ambulance and, in turn, the NHS during this very difficult time.
