SJDK Children's Choirs Fun-Run · 23 March 2019

We seek to reach out to our neighbours with the Good News of Jesus Christ, and through our Outreach Programme we are actively engaged with community groups and charities throughout the year. Our parish motto is "Serving Jesus in our diversity as we seek to build his Kingdom"

Story

Over 80 children from Camberwell, Brixton and Kennington sing every week in the Children's Choirs of St John the Divine Kennington.

They benefit from free and expert tuition in a part of London with almost no free arts provision. They rehearse each week, and sing for services and concerts.  Every summer, St John the Divine runs a residential summer school for them at St John's College, Cambridge.

These choirs were started in 2013, and are expanding fast as more children see them in action, and want to be part of them.  St John the Divine does not want to limit participation, so is looking for funds to sustain and expand this work.

A group from St John the Divine will be doing a sponsored run on Saturday 23rd May, 10am.  Some will do 5K, some 10K, some more... Please let us know if you'd like to join us!
