Event: Choose to Lose Challenge
Choose to Lose something you love to raise money and prayer for young Christians around the world who, in choosing Jesus, have lost nearly everything.

Story

St John's and St Luke's young people are taking part in the Open Doors, Choose to Lose Sponsored Challenge.  We are going to go without something we love for a day, a weekend, or even longer.  Some of us are losing our phones, biscuits, chocolate or even our beds!

Why are we doing this?  Because at least 360 million Christians around the world have lost things they love because of their faith in Jesus.  That's one in every seven Christians on the planet.  Some have lost family, friends, safety and freedom, yet they choose to follow Jesus despite this.

This matters.  Our relationship with Jesus connects us to these millions of believers around the world. We share the same heartbeat.  Together we are God's church.  Brothers and sisters - part of the same body, all seeking to show the love we've received to the world around us.  And when one part of the body suffers, we all do.

So by losing something we love, we are standing with our brothers and sisters around the world.

Thank you
