Ian and I have decided, not for the first time, to test the limits of our fitness and sign up to the Manchester Marathon in April. This will be our first ever marathon! We started training before Christmas and have gone from discussing what time we would like to finish the race in, to just making sure we finish!

We've always gotten involved with fundraising over the years to support others, but this year wanted to raise funds for a charity closer to us. Both mine and my fiancee's grandads were cared for by Marie Curie at their end of lives and have had close family members affected by cancer; so we've always supported their charity work, where possible.

We know that with everything going on in the world, people are finding it tougher than ever to make ends meet, which is why we're both so thankful for any donations made.
