Back in February of 2022, our co-founder and cycling enthusiast Justin announced that Skin Communications would be participating in the Eroica Brittania, the iconic vintage cycling event for riders of pre-1987 models to be held at Goodwood, just outside Chichester in West Sussex. 

Sadly the event was cancelled last year and has been again for 2023. 

Skin will be raising money for Together for Short Lives who we had the honour of working with in 2021 when they became Morrison’s new national charity partner.

Together for Short Lives is the UK charity that is here to make sure the 99,000 seriously ill children and their families can make the most of every moment they have together – whether that’s for years, months or only hours. Many of these children have complex conditions and need specialist care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Their ‘to do’ list is growing daily, and they have one bold ambition: To reach every family caring for a seriously ill child who needs help.

Justin will be partaking in the sterner test of the 60 mile course known as the Sporting route whilst Skin's other co-founder, Ian, will be partaking in the 20 mile course known as the Tourist route.  Ian, unlike Justin would be the first to accept he is not a cycling god and ironically was last seen on a bicycle around 1987 so in fact the omens are looking good for Ian to complete the challenge!

Support and encouragement is abundant between the two Skin co-founders although Justin has mentioned that he will cross the finish line first and then welcome Ian a few hours later!  And to ensure fair play is adhered to, Justin will be joined by his old school friend Jo and our 3rd rider of the Skin cycling team who will officiate that Justin and Ian stay focused and deliver a personal best time.
