Story
I'm running in memory of my little sister Charlotte. She passed away on 10 May 2018 after being diagnosed with a high-grade Glioma just three weeks earlier, she was 13 years old.
Charlotte loved helping other people, and even in her death she has helped 17 other people through organ donation. She is my Superhero, and I want to do something for her and children like her.
When Charlotte was first diagnosed we thought she would be with us, fighting, and hopefully beating her cancer for at least a couple of years, we were wrong. Rather than planning a trip to Disneyland we were planning her funeral. Cancer moves quickly and has devastating results. Anything we can do to speed up research and help those suffering is surely worth it.
Children with Cancer UK actively raises and invests money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keeps their family together. Their vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell. That sounds good to me.
