Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was doing some work for a lovely couple and it transpires that their daughter Elaine has Autism. Elaine is about my age and has been living at Oakfield House in Selly Oak since it opened in 1988. You can read about Oakfield and Autism in general on the Autism West Midlands website. Well; I just wanted to help so I have decided to attempt a rowing marathon in under 3 hours, that is 42195 metres. I have never rowed that distance in one go before. The management and staff at EASYGYM Kings Heath have really got on board with this. The plan is to set up 2 rowers, some of the staff are then going to race me, they will be doing 30 minute shifts, ha ha they dont realise that muscle alone will not be enough. whoo ha ha. I will be starting the challenge at 10 o'clock and folks are welcome to pop in. There will be donation buckets and info on Autism so hopefully fellow gym goers will be generous on the day. Thats the plan anyway. Whatever happens the main thing is that I will hopefully raise some money and awareness of Autism in the UK.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
