Aspire Channel Swim 2010 · 5 December 2010 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Combination of being on holiday and delivering daughter to work for 7.00 am resulted in 5 miles swum last week (every cloud...). I can see the beaches of France now, only about 5 more miles to go.

I thought it was time to try to get a bit more exercise. When I saw the "Swim the Channel" poster at Clickimin Pool it seemed a good way to give myself a target and raise some money for a good cause.

Setting up a mini-website is one of the ways to let people know what i'm doing and help get a bit more sponsorship.  I will update progress on Facebook from time to time.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
