Story
My name is Sajid Rashid , a young engineering professional working in the Aviation Industry, employed by Rolls-Royce plc, the iconic British jet engine manufacturer. I have been involved in various different charities over the past few years & I try to do much as possible for as many different charities/communities as I can. I am now involved with Islamic Relief because they are the only registered muslim member charity with the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), But also when the Typhoon in Philipines struck, Islamic Relief was on the ground wihin 48 hours helping the needy, hence why I chose this charity to make a difference..
I have always been scared of heights & im not much of a thrill rider either. When I visit theme parks, I am that scared that I stick to the normal small rides instead of the high thrill seeking rides. I have never EVER thought about Skydiving for Charity before, up until I felt that I had to help my fellow brothers & sisters in the Philipines & wanted to be unique in doing so, hence I set myself a personal goal as well as a personal challenge to conquer my fear of heights...there was no other better reason to do this for charity.
If people in the less fortunate countries who are starving, not getting medical attention they deserve, no where to live etc..
Then why cant I put myself at 13,000 ft & jump out of a plane to seek the thrill of a 120mph freefall drop for the people of the Philipines?
Well, it sounds soo SCARY even thinking about it. But...
I WILL BE TAKING THE PLUNGE OF A LIFETIME,
I WILL BE JUMPING OUT AT A 120mph FREEFALL DROP FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE PHILLIPPINES!
So please dig deep into your pockets and donate generously..
'The best of people brings benifits to others'

Please Note: I will be paying £230.00 for the skydive out of my own pocket, so whatever I fundraise will be going directly to the charity chosen 'Islamic Relief'. I will also have a group of 5 volunteers alongside myself who will be performing this charity skydive.
