Story

Hello, we're Yevgeniy and Paul and we are students at University College London raising money for our two RAG Society (Raising and Giving) charities of the year - PHAB and Sickle Cell Society.

We thought what better way to raise money for a great cause than by taking part in Jailbreak 2018 and seeing how far we can get from our uni in London in 36 hours without spending any money and on empty wallets.

The money we raise will NOT go towards the UCL Union or spent on our travel expenses. All of your funds will proceed directly to and be split between the Sickle Cell Society and PHAB via the UCL Union.

More on our charities:

  • PHAB supports children and young adults with disabilities to break down community barriers, reduce social isolation and create opportunities for disabled people to enjoy the same activities and challenges alongside those without a disability
  • Sickle Cell Society aims to provide the much needed support and research to sufferers and educate health carers and professionals about the condition

Therefore your money will go towards:

  • Creating a helpline for people with sickle cell
  • Holidays for children with sickle cell
  • A get-away for 115 children and young people with disabilities with PHAB at Bendrigg Lodge in the Lake District
  • Building wheelchair accessible holiday homes
  • And many more worthy causes
