Vicky's SLCC April Challenge · 3 April 2020 ·

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Team members are running, walking or cycling their chosen distance throughout April in aid of our staff charity, Alzheimer Scotland.

As an organisation as we cannot take part in any organised events, we have signed up to a virtual challenge where each of us has a chosen target (25k, 50k, 100k or 200k) to complete this month in any way we can. This will be done individually in line with government guidance and respecting the social distancing rules of course.

Running helps me keep my mind and body fit and active. Right now, this will be a challenge for of us, but it's a daily challenge for those with dementia.

I won't be running further or faster than usual. Now's not the time for that. But I will be trying to run more mindfully and more thankfully. That's my goal this month.
