Story

The Castle Tap's fourth group outing to Big Sleep Out, and this time we're heading down the Castle Tap itself to kip out in the garden!

Launchpad quite rightly refused to let Covid-19 ruin the yearly event and asked everyone to distance fundraise by sleeping in our gardens. Thankfully the pub has one of those!

So on Saturday 10th October, we will be setting up camp in the pub garden from 7pm till 6am the next day. Sleeping with only a sleeping bag and some cardboard for shelter.

We will have an area of the garden cordoned off with enough space to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

And as we'll be doing this during opening hours you'll be able to pop down and give us some support and some pennies!

The Big Sleep Out certainly doesn’t replicate homelessness but it does offer a brief insight into some of the things we might face if we ever became street homeless – such as cold temperatures, an uncomfortable bed and limited sleep.

Every penny you help us raise will help Launchpad continue to provide vital information and support for individuals, couples and families who don’t have a stable place to live or are at risk of losing their home.

Thank you from everyone in Team Castle Tap!
