Story
This November I am taking part in Sleep Out for Centrepoint. I will be spending a cold and uncomfortable night sleeping in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park but it's all for an amazing cause.
Sleep Out raises money to help change the story for thousands of homeless 16-25 year olds in the UK. 103,000 young people experience homelessness every year and the effects can be devastating.
Centrepoint supports young people to recover their health and find a job and home of their own. Their approach works and 86% of those they work with leave Centrepoint positively.
Please sponsor me as much as you can because although I'm spending just one night outside of my comfort zone, homeless young people will have faced much worse.

UPDATE: I Slept Out on Thursday night and it was an amazing experience, mostly due to your generosity!
I...
🔹 was given a wrist-band (like in the mid-noughties! Are wrist bands still A Thing? No idea),
🔹 got to know colleagues better,
🔹 was given a very stylish hat,
🔹 ate food cooked by the RAF,
🔹wore 5 layers,
🔹 slept in a sleeping bag inside a paper bag,
🔹 despite the above woke up 3 times due to the cold,
🔹finally got up 5.30am,
🔹 took the tube to work and was first of my team into the office (unprecedented),
🔹 worked until after 5pm (some people who don’t have homes do have jobs, so this seemed only fair),
🔹 have a very sore shoulder, hip, calves and back,
🔹 am thrilled with how much has been donated so far,
🔹 am hoping for more donations after payday (you can donate anytime until 21 December),
🔹 was pleased to find out that Eversheds Sutherland will match all donations raised.
