London Fatwa Council (LFC) was established by Shaykh Mohammad Yazdani Raza (Misbahi) in 2009. The Council offers legal advice and counselling in accordance with Islamic law. It is a voice for sisters silenced by violent, abusive and forced marriages; empowering women to achieve freedom and justice.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On May 10th 2017, a group of friends were sat at a Charity Dinner for London Fatwa Council (LFC) and we decided that night to pledge to raise £10k for this very noble cause.

LFC has been supporting and acting as the voice for silenced victims of forced marriage and domestic abuse and violence for over 9 years. For many of us, this cause was very close to our hearts and so we made the collective pledge.

For too long we have neglected our own infrastructure in the UK. We are a community thriving here, yet our institutions are weak and lack the support our community needs, especially our vulnerable sisters in need. Be the change and give back to strengthen our institutions here.

The beloved Prophet ﷺ said,

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” (Muslim)

Please give today and earn continuous reward.
