Hi, make sure you visit this page often, it will become my blog, be updated often and will put a smile on your face. Oh and feel free to donate and tell your friends about this site.

Last year I did the marathon as a slow motion runner, finishing 36,396 with a time of 8 days. I have never seen so many smiles in my life, the support from the public was fantastic, and so I am back...

This year I will Slowmo dance the entire route. On public display for the first time will be some of my greatest moves plus stuff I make up at weddings. You are all welcome to join me in a dance along the route.

It's now 3 weeks to the London marathon 2008, I am just about to start my training and to date I have not raised a penny, true slowmo style. Ahhhhhhh but I have a plan, oh yes

This year I will start a campaign, release a single for the charts and raise £2,000,000 for my selected charity 'GET KIDS GOING'. Now I don't expect to raise the full amount by the end of the marathon, thats why I will slowmo-ing here and there until the end of the year, this is where I start and go on until the end of the year.

About me

Well, a big thank you to Charles Nevin  (The Independent). He described me spot on so I will quote him 'I am a noble stand against all the haste and rush and fuss in the world, against the imposition of spurious, or selfish, limitations on time because we have forgotten that the search for perfection and the anticipation and deferment of pleasure are essentials of the civilisation.

Greg is for slow food, sipping, staring, sitting, thinking and just sitting. I like to see him, too, as nobly representing all those determinedly out-of-step rebels who go through life not really seeing the point of games, and this race-to-the swift business, dodging or mocking them at every opportunity, regardless of the consequences.'

A dignified applause please for Charles Nevin for knowing me better than I did. Do you realise Charles that you are the first person in the World to describe just who I am. It's great feeling being the first. So I recommend that everyone in the world reads Charles Nevin.

THE CAMPAIGN

This year I am starting the CHILL OUT BRITAIN CAMPAIGN.

The Banks are broke, fuel prices going through the roof, taxes increasing, politicians claim they need a big pay rise. In the meantime I see a population that is stressed, overworked, over taxed and general unhappy.

So lets all chill out, even if only a few minutes a day. Good ideas come from a chilled out mind, problems solved from a chilled out mind, and smiles appear from a chilled out mind. To help you chill out I am releasing a song to raise money for my chosen charity. This is not your usual naff charity song, it's not a song that is sung by some famous POP sensation hoping to increase future record sales.

Oh thats it for now, I am off to do 6 hours slowmo dancing inside Borders Bookshop in Stockport Cheshire, will be back soon...

Later on......

Oooooooooooooh I ache all over. managed to do 6 hours non stop slowmo dancing in Borders Bookstore. It's more painful than slowmo running and I managed to lose about 5 lbs in weight. Many thanks to everyone at Borders Book store, thanks to you I am now the first person in the World to train for a major marathon, in a book shop. That's 2 World first titles I have now, more to come.

Also many thanks to Tim and Chrissie, you are the first people in the World to donate money to the first bookshop marathon runner, now you have your World first, you have been Slowno-ed. I recommend that everyone in the World become friends with Tim and Chrissie.

Many thanks to Granada ITV for filming me slowmo dancing in Borders Bookshop. Do you realise that you are the first News crew in the World to film someone training for a marathon in a bookshop.

I must also thank the Stockport Express for taking photos and to Cheryl Latham who interviewed me, (Everybody in the World read her reports). I hope you realise that you are the first newspaper to interview a Slowmo dancer in a bookshop, another first.

Still slowmodancing, and it certainly hurts a lot more than slowmo-running.

Keep Smiling and pass the word around to others to visit the site, and feel free to donate. The release of my Greatest Hit ever single that I don't even sing on is now avalailable to pre-order at,

The Song

The song I am releasing to raise money for www.getkidsgoing.com is a slowmo song, what else. It's my way of giving you back something for a small donation, however if you want to donate more you can do so on this page. The song is also for a stressed out Britain, so buy it and chill out.

I want to thank Howard Buxton, my guitar teacher for helping me write the song. He is the first person in the world to teach a Slowmoguy to play a guitar and write a song, that's a double. Many thanks to everyone who came in at short notice to put the music together.

I also found a site www.7digital.com. They have a section for independent musicians to upload their own music to sell to the public. The www.indiestore.com/slowmodancer is where the song is ready for you to buy. It was all very easy to set up, so all you future music stars, go there. They are after all the first music download site in the World to have a slowmo guy selling music for Charity. Wow.

Hey Hey Jay, hope you have a lovely day. Your the first Jay in the World to sponsor Slowmodancer. Now you have a World first..

One week to go to the marathon and I have nowhere to sleep or eat. Will I cope, will I make it, ahhhhhhh worry about it on the day.

Email contact  for comments, ideas to raise money up to the end of the year, slowmodancer@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks to some students at Stockport college I now have a video to go with the song, you can watch it at www.youtube.com/slowmodancer

Now this is where I start my DEAR PAGE. my open letter to a few people for support. If you know them please pass on the details. If you are Media feel free to use my words and pass them on for me.

Dear Heather Mills,

Sorry to hear about you and Paul, these things happen. Unlike the Judge, I do believe you have given a lot of your money away to charity in the past. It's time to prove to the World that you do donate large amounts to Charity, so find me while I am slowmodancing and slip a nice big cheque in my hand to my charity. Bring the press we can show them. Maybe then we can have a slowmo dance together.

See you soon Greg

Dear Simon Cowell,

What a great guy you are donating money to the American family. There are many disabled children here in the UK waiting to develop their X factor in sports, find me and make a donation to my charity, you already know doing good can feel so good.

Cheers  Greg

Dear Oprah Winfrey,

Great to hear the TV work is doing well. I am slowmodancing the streets of London for 8 days, another World first. Really surprise me and donate, I will be easy to find.

TaTa  Greg

Dear Sir Alan Sugar,

Send the apprentices out to help me collect money, surely they can't mess that up??????? I will be about the East end, look me up.

Good day kind  Sir          Greg.

Your Majesty,

On the 20th of April I will be near your pad, Is it alright for me to tell the tourist that we are distantly related to boost fundraising. If it all started with Adam and Eve then technically we are all related anyway. I hope this does not affect my chances of a knighthood? Hope to meet you at the finish line

Your loyal servant??  Greg

Dear All Politicians,

Now it will be very easy for all of you to find me, it would be a vote winner for certain if you were all to donate. We could shake hands, laugh while the press take photos and I take your donations. Let see who turns up.

Regards Greg

Ok everyone, It is now Wednesday, day 4 of the marathon. I could not enter any comments into my blog for the simple reason I was DEAD worn out. Had some rain, bit of sun and a cool temp to slowmo in. I am staying with Brian and Doreen. I have not killed any fish, they moved them out when they heard I was arriving.

Now you know I put out a letter to Her Majesty, Well a very very nice man from www.bigeventnetwork.co.uk has told me the Queen will be at the finish line at 12 noon Sunday 20th April. Even Elvis will be there, Tom Jones, Billy Connolly and many more, WOW I must be famous. Thanks Wayne Dobinson.

I will even have my medal presented to me by the UK's greatest mini marathon runner, A 2 year old boy, now how great is that.

Well, a long slow slog with some of my best dance moves. The weather has been cold, windy and damp, but I finally made it to the finish.

At the final hour of my marathon I was met by Madonna, Tom Jones, Brucie, Billy Connolly, Kelly Brooks, as well as Elvis, Freddie Mercury, and so many more. The Queen was at the finish line to present my medals along with a young chappy. I was also knighted for my Britishness and can be greeted as Lord Billingham, though Greg will do.

Now some of you may look at what I have collected here on the site and go Oh dear, not much. AHHHHHHH there is a lot more to come and more crazyness to come from me before the end of the year. STAY TUNED.

My feet are aslo a size bigger then when I started, just waiting for them to go back to normal size.

I am currently forming the worlds largest group/band. Decided as the slowest man in the World 2 years on the trot that it is time to take on Simon Cowell and beat him to the Christmas Number one spot.

More to come.
