Living with Parkinson's affects everyone around us, which we all see more and more each day.

1 in 20 people diagnosed with Parkinson's are under 40. We think that number is growing!
Being diagnosed literally turns your life upside down and makes you evaluate everything. It makes you work out how to manage your energy levels, decide whether to tell your employer/family/friends and get used to relying on medication to get through the day.....all while you are adjusting your future plans for you and your family.
Why are we doing this?
We want to find a cure. We are a support group, but we also want to increase awareness of young onset Parkinson's.
SLYPN is run by our fantastic volunteers, Angela, Kerry, Brian (Blogger), Matthew, Susan, Liz, David and Sue & Trevor. We also have to thank Simone (Popping for Parkinson's ) and our virtual Yoga instructor, Steph for all their support and valuable information to younger people with Parkinson's in South London.
