On 24th July 2016,  Sean McGregor and Mia Rawlinson, will be cycling unsupported from Lands End to John O'Groats in aid of Alzheimer's Research UK. The route will take just over 2 weeks, consist of approximately 1100 miles and 8500 ft of elevation.

My Nanna is currently living with Dementia and I see the effects it has on both her and those around her. It's a horrible disease but at the moment there is no cure, and the currently used medication can only slow the advancement of the disease for a short period of time.

The only way to find a cure is research and Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. They fund world-class pioneering scientists to find preventions, treatments and a cure for dementia.

There are over 830,000 people in the UK currently living with dementia and this number will increase as our population ages. These people will have family members and friends who watch on helplessly and in fact, around 25 million of us currently know someone in the UK affected by Dementia.

Research is the only answer and with every £20 we raise the charity can fund one hour of research. If you sponsor us 1 penny per mile we ride that equates to £11 towards pivotal research.

Any donation you can give the charity small or large will be greatly appreciated! This is a disease that effects so many people and anything you do give will touch so many lives!
