The Color Run Manchester 2016 · 2 July 2016 ·

The Wellspring supports the people of Stockport that are homeless or at risk of losing their home. Making a real difference to people’s lives means understanding what they are going through. Hope Helps Change Works

Story

We believe in championing causes that are close to our heart. We want to do the best we can, the best way we know how.

This year we have chosen a similar concept to our Series of Extraordinary Events back in 2014, but more focused on building awareness of charities like The Wellspring (Stockport) and Crash (the construction industry's homeless charity) and what they do to support those people in our community who are disadvantaged,  homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless.

If you were homeless, what would life be like? What items would you need to maintain some semblance of dignity? A razor? Soap? A toothbrush? Tampons? All these things are luxury items that many don't have access to.

We are running for Color Run on behalf of The Wellspring so they can continue to offer support, advice, food and much needed items to those desperately in need of it. All we ask for, is a little bit of help...

If you can spare a little change, that would be greatly appreciated. More so, a share or like on social media - let's get this conversation out there! If you can offer items such as warm clothing, socks, underwear, and hygiene products, please do drop them off with The Wellspring at: The Wellspring, Harvey Street, Stockport, SK1 1YD

We are running the 5k Color Run in Manchester (done), hiking the Welsh 3 Peaks, working out way down the Gritstone Trail, and fundraising with carboots!
