We’re leading the fight for a future where all young minds are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges. We’re here to make sure children and young people get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties. Join our fight.

Story

Welcome to the SMSJ Staff, North Luffenham Fundraising page!

During this lockdown period, our wonderful staff team have all joined forces to tackle 2 different exercise 'distance' challenges! We are raising both money and awareness for the fantastic Young Minds Charity - the UK's leading charity fighting for children and young people's mental health. What more important time to raise the profile of mental health for children? We are all in this together.

The challenges:

Runners: The team of runners have set themselves the challenge of running from Lake Geneva, Switzerland all the way to Rutland Water (a total of 1,197km). We will be running across the next 12 weeks, aiming to cross the 'finish line' on the final day of the school academic year, Tuesday 21st July. With 9 runners on board, that is approx. 133km per runner over the 12 weeks. Yikes - good luck!

Walkers: The team of walkers have set themselves the challenge of walking to Loch Lomond, Scotland AND back from Rutland Water (944km). We will be walking across the next 12 weeks, aiming to cross the 'finish line' on the final day of the school academic year, Tuesday 21st July.

We will provide weekly updates as to how the team(s) are getting on, any donations of any kind are most welcome and appreciated for this incredible cause so close to all our hearts.

Let's get going!
