We are a registered charity, working with children and young people with wide ranging disabilities. We work to develop confidence, independence, and social skills but mostly, to give our children the opportunity to enjoy new experiences, have fun and make friends.

Story

#THESNAPPYTRUST.ORG

Working to empower children and young people with disabilities.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Around 12 months ago, I was privileged to meet, not only some of the young people (the Snappy family) that the charity has been able to help, but also the selfless and committed team at Snappy who work tirelessly to improve the lives of the next generation. I was inspired to do more, and recently was honoured to join the team as an ambassador for the trust.

Tommy Cannon came up with the idea of doing Total Warrior at Bramham Park -  bearing in mind that Tom will be 82 when he takes on the challenge, I was to say the least, 'impressed' - and further inspired. My response was "if Tom can do it so can I, and as many of us are approaching the autumn years, 'Snappy Old Crocs' seemed appropriate.

The current line up is: #TommyCannon -Comedian and Singer, best known for being half of Cannon & Ball .  #ChrisChittell - Award winning actor, best known for playing Eric Pollard in Emmerdale.  #BenFry -Breakfast Show presenter at Minster FM . #DavidBrown - Patron and Stalwart of The Snappy Trust for over 10 years. #Malcolm Scott retired school teacher, proud Husband, Dad and Grandad,  #Peter Sidwell -TV Chef, Author and Founder of Simply Good Food TV, & #Emma Sidwell - Peter's wife,  #Leanne Young - Radio York,  ....and #Me 🙂

Note the phrase 'doing' Total Warrior as apposed to 'running', however we all intend to complete the course, get our badge, and raise money for those wonderful children and young people with disabilities ... .....there will no doubt be some laughs along the way as well.

Each and every penny of donations is appreciated.

If anyone would prefer to donate the traditional way, there are forms to fill in too - please get in touch. Thank you in advance.
