Yay!

I won the marathon! (apart from the 6,756 people before me) and ran it in 5 hrs 38 mins. I did have a nice sit down and a Calipo ice lolly with my sister at the halfway mark though...I walked a bit, but in the main was jogging along.

About 15 - 17 miles seemed the hardest when I got stitch...getting up to near my house, pretty tempting to nip back for a rest...saw James at the turning point up there, he was keen for me to run the next 9 miles in an hour...since he was playing a gig at half three! I am thankful that it is over, and I am still in one piece (apart from the loss of most of a toenail.)

Thanks SOOOOO much for all the sponsorship, I really appreciate it, and it definitely helped me keep going.

I ran for 'Passing It On' which is a great charity, based in Brighton, but who help build schools and support education in some of the poorest areas of Africa. They currently have projects in Kenya and Ghana, and are now looking to start in Tanzania.

If anyone would still like to sponsor me, even after the event, that would be wonderful...
