Story

Hello! Our names are Ben, Lorna, Kim, Sara, Hannah, Molly, India, Georgia and Beth and we are a group of student speech and language therapists at Birmingham City University. We have decided to raise some money for the British Stammering Association so on 19th March 2016, we'll be climbing Mount Snowden in Wales!

As we've never climbed a mountain before, this is going to be quite a undertaking but, to make it that bit more relevant to our cause, we're also going to be doing the climb using only non-verbal communication. This is so that we can get a genuine appreciation of the challenges which face those with speech, language, and communication needs and to raise awareness of the importance of speech and language therapy and the crucial role it plays in helping all those who need it.

We've decided to support the British Stammering Association because they are a fantastic charity who provide a wealth of support and information to those who stammer. On top of this, they do fantastic work lobbying for the rights of people who stammer in order to eliminate discrimination (for example, in the workplace).

You can also donate via text by sending 'BCUS47' followed by an amount between £1-5 or £10 to 70070. All texts are free.

If you are kind enough to support us, please add gift aid to your donation (if donating via text message, you'll receive a second message allowing you to do this) to maximise the money I can raise for the BSA. Thank you in advance for any and all of your support :)
