My run for Alzheimer's Society · 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I’ll be taking part in the Snowdon 52km trail run on the 24th of September 2022, in memory of my late Grandad, Roy Wood. The run will involve summiting Snowdon before heading out towards the mountain ranges and forestry’s around the surrounding area.

Anyone who knew my Grandad would know what an amazing man he was, he had a passion for rugby, running, walking, swimming among many other activities. One of his favourite hobbies was to run/walk the local mountains, in particular to the stone man in his home town Clydach Vale, Rhondda.

I always looked up to him for his drive and determination and I’m hoping to raise money for an amazing charity, the Alzheimer’s society, in his name. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
