Story

Thank you for visiting the Spirit of Belron 2018 just giving page.

Belron have been running, swimming and cycling since 2002 raising vital funds for Afrika Tikkun and their programmes. Afrika Tikkun aims to support the township communities after the apartheid in South Africa investing in education, health and social services for disadvantaged children, youth and their families through community centres and the Belron training centre.

In 2014 the Spirit of Belron Challenge was launched, hosted at Eton Dorney Lake in Windsor.  It includes thousands of participants from over 20 business units, families and friends and our business partners. The Spirit of Belron challenge does not only encourage health and challenge but gives our people a chance to spend time with some Afirka Tikkun beneficiaries and learn about what a difference the programme is doing for thousands of people in South Africa.

In 2016 it was our 15th anniversary which saw over 2200 people taking part and in 2017 a record amount of money was raised, over EUR 1 Million! However all over the world in our business units there are thousands more supporting the charity and organising various fundraising events to raise funds which go towards their total business unit pledges.

Our partnership with Afrika Tikkun enables us to give back in the country of origin of our business and gives a clear focus to come together annually as a global community and celebrate the amazing work and how our funding is used by Afrika Tikkun. For Afrika Tikkun it provides an essential source of unrestricted funding, impacting the lives of thousands across South Africa.

So lets make 2018 even better and break some more records! See you on the 22nd for the Spirit of Belron Challenge 2018!
