Story

Social workers join the profession to help and work alongside individuals and families; and support communities.

Sometimes social workers need help too.

The Social Workers' Benevolent Trust, set up by the British Association of Social Workers, has for the past 50 years, provided financial grants to help social workers who find themselves experiencing hardship.  The trust has made grants to social workers who have experienced hardship through health problems, relationship breakdown, unexpected crises, family issues or any number of other circumstances. Recenty, Covid has had had an impact across all of society and this has been true for social workers too.

As a trustee of SWBT I have seen how important it can be for social workers experiencing hardship.

As part of the trusts 50th anniversary I am looking to raise funds by cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End in 9 days.

Please support me in raising funds for this Trust who help those who work to help others.
