I am happy to now be old enough to join Team Ciara and to fundraise for Reverse Rett. I am very excited to be doing the 5 x 50 Challenge because I want a cure to be found for my sister and for all the girls who have Rett Syndrome.

The Challenge will start on February 28th and will end on Sunday April 18th. For 50 consecutive days I will either ride my bike, run or roller skate a minimum of 5km. This will be on top of the normal things I do after school such as swimming and dancing. Some days I will have to do my 5Km before school starts and some days I will ride a lot further than 5Km as I will be going on longer rides with my Daddy and Brother.

I want to help Ciara because I want her to be cured from having Rett Syndrome, to always be happy and I want her to always be part of the fun things we do as a family.

Ciara often has to sit and watch other children playing and having fun. Because of Rett Syndrome, our family can't always do normal things together and as we grow up, I want Ciara to be able to do all the same things that we can do.

By doing the 5 x 50 Challenge, it will hopefully help the Scientists move one step closer to finding a cure for Rett Syndrome, which means we can then do more fun things together. 

Because Ciara has Rett Syndrome, there is so much that she misses out on and there is so much more that we should be able to do as sisters. One of my favourite things to do is dance. I would love to be able to do this with Ciara one day.

I have always wanted to be part of Team Ciara after watching my Daddy and Brother doing their amazing bike rides for Ciara. I have always wanted to do challenges for Ciara and as I am now 8, I am old enough to start.
