On the 1st of May, I will be skydiving 10,000 ft in aid of an amazing charity called Anthony Nolan. Anthony Nolan is a charity that helps to cure people with blood cancer and blood disorders. Every 14 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer and 75% of UK patients won’t find a matching donor in their families. Anthony Nolan helps to find matches to an unrelated donor and so far has already helped over 1,300 people in 2016-2017. Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.
