Blame peer pressure, because somehow we have convinced ourselves that running a half marathon is a good idea. None of us are natural athletes, so the next few months of training are going to be an interesting roller-coaster of pain, misery and (most probably) wine (medicinal purposes of course).
We are all running for an incredible cause - Muscular Dystrophy UK do some amazing work for the 70,000 people living with muscle wasting conditions in the UK, from funding research to campaigning for a better quality of life for those affected.
It is knowing where the money we raise is going and how it is going to be used which is going to keep us going through the training, and through the run on the big day.
