Story
Come and visit 16 gardens, all opening in aid of St Peter and St Paul's church fundraising, 2020 Vision. The gardens are scattered around the village in different locations, so they have their own unique aspects and views. Most are behind walls or hedges so you won't have seen them unless you know the owner. There are cottage gardens and formal gardens, established gardens and brand new gardens. Lawns and gravel, borders, ponds and vegetable patches. The vicar is going for self sufficiency on a budget, so in The Rectory garden you'll find raised beds of vegetables, ingenious use of drying logs and pallets - not to mention free range hens. All the gardeners have been spurred on to make improvements, convinced their garden won't come up to scratch, but I can report (having visited them all) that they're lovely! (Mind, Tricia's red hot pokers will have finished by the time you come round...) Tickets will be on sale at the church on the day. You can also buy a raffle ticket, pick up a children's trail and take tea in the barn at The Mount. Plants will be on sale too. It should be a fun afternoon, putting us all in the mood for a busy week. Cross your fingers for beautiful weather!
Admission £5 per adult, tickets available on the day at the church, SN15 5JB
