3 Peaks Challenge · 3 October 2023

St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides tailored end of life care both in the community and at our Hospice, supporting our patients living with a terminal illness, and their family and friends. We rely on the generous support of our community to raise the £10million we need each year to fund our services.

Story

To support our 2023 Charity of the Year, St Wilfrid's Hospice, i'll be joining a small team of my colleagues from Tennyson Insurance to climb the 3 largest mountains in the UK in just 24 hours on the 3rd October, as part of the National 3 Peaks Challenge. I'm excited but slightly terrified at the prospect, as it involves walking 23 miles, with a total ascent of 3064 metres (10,052ft) and the total driving distance is 462 miles. But it's for such an amazing cause, how could I say no!

St Wilfrid's hospice care for and support those in our community who are in the last phase of their lives bit in the hospice and in the home too. Many of our colleagues have benefited from their work and our goal is to raise as much money as we can to support them, to ensure they can continuing support every family locally who might need them both now and in the future.

You'll get to see me sweat and cry all at the same time too so, if you can spare a few pennies, please do donate today :-)
