Sonia 'Ironmum' in training

Gracie Faulkner’s Appeal · 31 December 2027 · Start fundraising for this event
Please support me in this massive challenge. I am participating in Bolton Ironman UK, in which I will swim 2.4 miles in a lake, cycle 112 miles and then finish that off with a little marathon! That's a staggering 140.6 miles in a maximum of 17 hours.
Some of your may know that I'm turning the big 40 this year. I don't want to be fat, frumpy and forty, I want to be fit, fabulous and forty! To help motivate me on those dark mornings and long runs I am making my miles count by raising funds for a little girl who faces challenges everyday. As a Paramedic, mum and wife, juggling time is going to prove tricky but I know it's going to be worth it.
Gracie is my friend's middle child. She is 8 years old with poor mobility, virtually no speech and a neurological age of 2. Her family are embarking on a new rehabilitation program to help Gracie develop faster and hopefully speak. The Family Hope Center program offers hope that Gracie's and her family's lives can be greatly improved.
I love to talk (!!!) and I'd love to give the gift of speech to Gracie. Help me please.
All funds raised will go to 'Give Gracie a Voice' through the charity 'Tree of Hope'.
