Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting our page. We are raising money for the British Heart Foundation and we'd be so grateful for your support.

As a School Council we nominate three charities to support each year. This year we chose to support BHF because in the summer holiday Mr Ely had a heart attack whilst out on a cycle ride. He didn't return to school in September and we missed him. We wanted him to know we were thinking about him and wanted him to get better and come back as soon as he could. We also wanted to say a huge thank you to all those people who helped him get better and help them continue their good work by supporting this charity.

To help us raise money for this charity, five adults from our school- Mr Ely, Mr Spelman, Miss Day, Mr Walsh and Mr Browne- decided to cycle home from school...to Mr Ely's childhood home in Swindon! They will be cycling about 160 miles. We would like to raise £1000 (or more if possible) to encourage them as we know it will be tough (especially as some of them haven't cycled for a very long time!)

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us hit our target. Thanks!
