WE DID IT! Despite untypical and very adverse weather conditions (72 hours of almost non-stop rain, wind, hail and even snow) we managed to complete our trek along the Inca Trail and finally arrived wet, triumphant and breathless at the Sun Gate of Machu Pichu at around 3pm on Wednesday 15th September. At this point we also heard that England had won the Ashes. We have been celebrating both these events with the help of Pisco Sours ever since.
