Cutting my hair for The Little Princess Trust · 16 November 2019

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

For as long as I can remember, I have always been so lucky to have long, healthy hair, it's almost acted as a form of identifier. That being said, I've decided that my hair is at a suitable length and a healthy state where I can confidently donate a fair amount of it to this amazing charity. After doing some research, I realised that whilst the hair donations are super important, the wigs themselves actually cost quite a fair bit to make (£550 to be precise). So, whilst I will appreciate all the love and support for my new "look", it would be great if we could help make up some of the money to aid the making of the wig itself!

When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, the Little Princess Trust will be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. If my hair can help in any way to contribute to a child regaining some form of joy in a difficult time, then that's something I am more than happy to do!

Thank you in advance for your support!
