Mile a Day in May · 1 May 2023 to 31 May 2023 ·
In February 2022, we were given the devastating news that our unborn son would be born with a severe CHD called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Essentially Raffy doesn’t have a functioning left side to his heart.
During those very dark days the Children’s Heartbeat Trust provided guidance and support to us. That support continued during our long stay in Dublin after our wonderful Raffy arrived and had his first surgery, they constantly checked in and provided emotional and financial support. The help they give is vital and wonderful and I can honestly say we wouldn’t have got through those long 3 months in Dublin without them.
Currently Raffy is thriving but the support doesn’t stop just because he’s no longer in hospital, we chat to Liz on a regular basis, she has been ever constant as we navigate the ups and downs of being parent’s to a child with CHD.
It would mean so much to us if you could sponsor us as we take part in Mile a day in May, we will be out with our pram and the older boys on their scooters each day and appreciate anything you can give. Thanks so much.
