Brighton Marathon for MND in memory of my dad

Brighton Marathon 2024 · 7 April 2024 ·
11 years ago I lost my lovely dad to MND. Motor neurone disease, or MND, is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. MND affects how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. It is a progressive and terminal disease with sufferers usually passing away within 2-3 years of being diagnosed. There is currently no cure for MND but every donation helps to fund research scientists, and improve the quality of life of those that suffer from MND and their families!
My dad, Andrew, was the kindest and funniest man ever and I feel very lucky to have known him for the short time I did.
This is my 3rd run for MND, but the first one I have attempted without my lovely mum and sister running alongside me. It is also the longest distance I have attempted, any marathon running tips would be very appreciated and please donate what you can!
